Celebrating the 2023 edition of World NGO Day with a seminar.
To mark the 2023 edition of World NGO Day on February 27th, the Association for Training and Rural Development (ATRUD) organized a webinar with volunteers based in Buea - Cameroon. The seminar had as objectives, to thank ATRUD volunteers for the work they have been doing on the field, to educate the volunteers on career development opportunities in NGOs and discuss upcoming projects within the organization.
The President of ATRUD, Mr. Tabort in a welcome word, thanked the volunteers for all their efforts on the field especially regarding the projects they had written and submitted for review. He promised that in subsequent years, he would like to see the World NGO Day marked by many more activities organized by ATRUD.
After the president's welcome speech, Mr. Nkwetato of ATRUD's Research and Development Department presented a paper - Careers in NGOs in which he showed a step-by-step approach to building a career working in NGOs. A pdf version of the presentation is available for download below.
The 2023 edition of World NGO Day was celebrated globally under the theme: "The role and influence of NGOs in advancing human rights and achieving sustainable development goals".
